Life as a Non-Traditional Freshman

Hey there,  Thank you for reading my blog. It's a beautiful day or should I say "Night" haha to write blog # THREE!!! Here goes nothing. So after taking the time to read and try to analyze Mike Bunn's How to Read Like a Writer I've come up with a few things that I enjoyed and want to share with you all. I liked how Bunn explains what it Means to Read like a writer. Instead of writing just so that people would read your article you have to actually set a tone and make it so that your audience can understand and grasp what you have written. I noticed that Bunn mentions how he uses paraphrases instead of drawn-out quotes. Which I think is a plus. Because if you use a quote that only you understand how would you expect your readers to know what you are talking about. UNLESS they look it up but I doubt they would go that far.  Hello fellow colleagues,  I actually chose to write about procrastination. I've struggled with that since middle school and now I'm well out of high school and that demon is still following me! From getting to events on time to completing daily tasks. It seems as if I always wait till the last minute. I mean it's only because I feel like I have so much to do in so little time. So I took the time out to do a little bit of research on the LLM *drumroll GEMINI! When it comes to procrastination I found out that the reason that I may procrastinate a lot is because of lack of motivation or poor time management and that's just to name a few.  I came up with a few ideas to try to help me overcome those. I  hope that some of you guys can take the time to read my essay to see what strategies I came up with. 

 Consuela Stanley here,                 I am a late 20's , single mom. I was born and raised in Macon GA. From the time I was born up until age of 5 I have undergone multiple open heart surgeries to try to fix congenital hear defects. Since the first day I came home from my first day of school in Kindergarten I knew I wanted to be a teacher. That has been my dream since I was little girl. Even though at the time I just looked at it as an authoritative figure who tell kids what to do, instead of teaching. I guess that was just the sassiness and bossiness in me haha... But as I got older I realized it was about teaching, and I knew that's what I wanted to do as far as career. I want to be there for kids in ways that some adults weren't there for me. With this class, It will help me if pursuing that goal.  Thank you for your time and reading a little bit about me.
